STATE REPRESENTATIVES RYAN GUILLEN, AARON PENA, ARMANDO MARTINEZ AND RICHARD RAYMOND WILL BE HOSTING FUNDRAISER FOR RAUL ALVAREZ
(AUSTIN) — Raul Alvarez is proud to announce that State Representatives Ryan Guillen, Aaron Pena, Armando Martinez and Richard Raymond will host a fundraiser at the Austin Club.
The event will be located at the Austin Club on February 2, 2010 and will start at 5 pm. Sponsorships will start at 100.00, 250.00, and 500.00 levels. Please RSVP with Kacy Shindler at 512-465-2162 or email kshindler@progressivecapitol.com.
"It an honor to have these State Representatives host a fundraiser. They know my commitment to public service and leadership I will bring to the county and precinct 4," Alvarez says. "I will be a strong voice and a trusted leader for change in precinct 4."
Mr. Alvarez was a former City Council member from 2000 to 2006. He quickly earned a reputation for hard work and diligence on a wide range of issues, that concerned his constituents in the city of Austin.
Alvarez has served one year as a City Council representative on the board of the Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Also, was appointed on the Electric Utility Commission by City Council Member Mike Martinez in 2006. Currently, Alvarez is Place 5 Trustee for the Austin Community College District.
Alvarez earned his bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and his master's in Community & Regional Planning at the University of Texas.
