Raul's Record on Economic Development

(1) Facilitated well-plannned, mixed-use developments such as Mueller and The Triangle

(2) Supported downtown redevelopment plans for Seaholm District, Block 21 & Green Treatment Plant

(3) Secured new jobs in key industries through business recruitment efforts

(4) Expanded small business development programs and strengthened minority & women-owned business enterprise program

Raul's Record on the Environment

(1) Provided strong leadership to ensure closure of the Holly Street Power Plant

(2) Opposed Longhorn Pipeline and put protections in place to protect residents & businesses from location of gasoline pipelines

(3) Placed limitations on the development of big-box retail over the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone

(4) Developed successful bond package that included $50 million for parks & open space
